This is the annual laurel parade on the day before graduation day at Mount Holyoke College. By tradition, graduates, all dressed in white, carry a laurel chain and walk to the grave of college founder Mary Lyon. There they wrap the chain around the fance of the gravesite, where a ceremony is held. This photo shows the graduates passing by Skinner Hall on campus in 2004.
